SCOUTING TRAINING GROUND

The crew training ground for Scouting practical skills is located about 40 kilometers from the city center of Kuala Lumpur. It was developed as the crew campsite since early 2004 when the crew was still operating in Johore. The training ground was named as Kem Cangkat Budaya (KCB) in 2009. For the time being, the facilities in the campsite are as follows:

• One small open hall
• One open prayer hall (for Muslim users)
• One set of washroom complex for ladies (consist of two toilets and two bathrooms)
• One set of washroom complex for gentlemen (consist of two toilets and two bathrooms)
• A kitchen with washing sink and cooking platform
• Campsite that can accommodate around 80 people
• An assembly place
• Two big fish ponds for basic boating and fishing practical

Besides utilized by the crew for training purposes, the camp is also opened to public upon request. Until now, six public camping were organized by school or higher learning institution with various purposes. Other than facilities above, KCB is also fully equipped with other outdoor training materials such as compass, maps, first aid kits, small boat and complete cooking tools.

SAILING TRAINING GROUND

The crew training ground for sailing skills is located about 85 kilometers from the city center of Kuala Lumpur. This site is belong to Selangor Sailing Society and was developed as their training center.


KAYAKING TRAINING GROUND

Titiwangsa Lake, which located at the heart of Kuala Lumpur City is the crew training ground for kayaking skills. Up to today, the crew had organized Kayak Clinic for Sea Scout members twice (in 2012 and 2013) and Star Award 1 Kayak Course for Rovers and Leaders four times (three times in 2012 and once in 2013). In all these events, the crew will cooperate with instructors from Kuala Lumpur Canoe Sports Association.

DIVING TRAINING GROUND

TUDM Aquatic Centre, which is located next to the old airport of Sungai Besi is the crew training ground for diving skills. Up to today, about 11 crew members had been certified for the Open Water Diver certification under Scuba Diving International (SDI). After finishing the basic training here, final practical test will be conducted at Perhentian Island, Terengganu.
